Inspired by Ayat 22 of Surah Ar-Rahman — "From both of them emerge pearls and coral" (Yakhruju minhuma al-lu'lu'u wal-marjan) — The Pearls is the first painting in an ongoing series inspired by the Surah's profound imagery and message.

The artwork reflects the beauty hidden within creation and the blessings that emerge from the depths of the seas. Pearls and coral serve as reminders of the wonders of the natural world and the countless signs of Allah's mercy that surround us.

As *Part I of the Surah Ar-Rahman Series, *The Pearls marks the beginning of a visual exploration of the Surah, with future works continuing to interpret its verses through art. Surah translates to "The Beneficent" or "The Most Merciful" and emphasizes Allah's mercy and the blessings he has bestowed upon humanity. It contains 78 verses that repeatedly ask, "Then which of your Lord’s blessings would you both deny?"

‘Ya Aba Saleh al-Mehdi’
This is a spiritual composition, an embodiement of the Faraj, the awaited imam Mehdi (a.s.). At the top the arabic calligraphy reads: ‘Ya Aba Saleh al-Mehdi’

Featuring the name of the great lady of Islam, ‘Ya Fatima’. Depicting the profound grief and loneliness experienced by Syeda Fatima (SA), After the death of her father (PBUH). Whenever she wished to mourn and remember him, she would visit a place which was later named ‘Baitul-Huzn’.

This work captures the poignant aftermath of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.), as seen through the silent grief of his loyal horse, Zuljanah. Overwhelmed by the absence of his master, Zuljanah is portrayed wandering the vast and desolate Sehra—a barren desert that mirrors the emptiness left behind by this profound loss. The painting seeks to embody not only the sorrow but also the weight of tragedy that echoed across Karbala. Through color, form, and silence, it reflects a moment of eternal mourning—where loyalty, sacrifice, and grief converge upon the timeless sands of history.
